Summer Camps, Enrichment Programs from FGA Sponsors & TAGT Partners

We're always on the lookout for great enrichment. And can you believe it's already time to think about summer camps? Our sponsors and TAGT partners offer some great options to enrich and engage your family–some programs feature discounts for FGA members! Read on to take advantage of these awesome opportunities:

Camp Pursuit by NuMinds Enrichment

Camp Pursuit is a high-achievement, academic day camp that allows bright kids in incoming 1st through 8th grades to choose the course of study that best aligns with their passions and interests. Campers choose four courses each week, and every week is a new experience with different options!

Camp Pursuit will be held the weeks of June 6-10 and June 13-17 at the beautiful St. Philips Episcopal School in Frisco. Camp times are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Early drop off (8 a.m.) and late pick up (5 p.m.) are available.

Gifted 201 Parent Course by NuMinds Enrichment

Do you want actionable, research-based ideas and guidance on supporting your gifted kid? FGA sponsor NuMinds Enrichment is offering the Gifted 201 course just for us—the parents!

Sessions will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays, from March 29 - May 3 at IKEA Frisco. Topics include the Eight Great Gripes of Gifted Kids, Self-esteem and Underachievement, Finding Your Element, Navigating the Teen Years/Multi-potentiality, and Law and Advocacy.

Bricks Bots & Beakers’ amazing summer camps are back! From Wizards' Potions to WeDo Robotics, this FGA sponsor offers a camp for every scientific kid. They also hold theme-based birthday parties. Camps From SED

FGA sponsor SED (Science, Entertainment, and Design) offers STEM-based summer camps in multiple subject areas for kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade! Camps run from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. at $269 per week. Contact SED for more details.

iCodeHack by TAGT Partner iCode4Kids

TAGT partner iCode4Kids is offering iCodeHack on Sat., April 16 at the Dallas AT&T headquarters. This age-based programming experience encourages kids to collaborate creatively to solve technical and social challenges! The overall hack runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., although timings vary by age group (elementary, middle, and high school). Registration is just $20, and the deadline has been extended to April 5.

  • No programming experience is necessary, and mentors will be on hand for guidance!
  • Kids can arrive with pre-formed teams of three or four, or they can come solo and join a team assigned by age and skillset. 
  • Winners will be eligible for a variety of prizes, including scholarships!  
  • For parents, there will be keynote sessions from senior executives throughout the day.
  • Food and parking are free.

This is a great opportunity for kids to engage in a fun and competitive computing and engineering experience. All levels are welcome–from kids who are just beginning to explore coding, to those who already have a passion for it!
