Frisco ISD is in need of speech judges for the upcoming 2017 Region IX Academic Decathlon competition on Jan. 20, 2017. The competition will be held at Coppell High School from 10 am.-4:30 p.m.
Judges willl be part of a panel that will listen to a student deliver both a four-minute prepared and two-minute impromptu speech, and then score aspects of the performances on a scale of 1 to 10 using a predefined rubric. Training will be provided for judges prior to the competition, as well as, lunch on the day of the event.

When: Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 from 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Where: Coppell High School, 185 W Parkway Blvd., Coppell
Notes: Training will be provided by FISD personnel—no experience needed; Lunch provided day of event.
How to sign up: Volunteers need to complete a Google form to receive additional information in January. Volunteers also need to complete an FISD volunteer background check if they have not already done so for an FISD campus for this school year (2016-2017).
